A Quiet First Birthday at Home

I can’t get over the feelings that rush through me when I leave these family sessions lately. The quiet intimacy of our time together, and the witnessing of these parents navigating all the same things I’m navigating, and the feeling of knowing that even just for a little while, I get to notice and shine some light onto these restful + still in-between moments that sometimes pass us by without the time to stop, pause and take in fully. Our parenthood is our legacy, and the honor of being a gentle witness to it is one of my greatest honors.

Eleni turned one yesterday, and today her beautiful mama celebrates her birthday. They invited me over for a little afternoon of cake, bubbles and a walk to the park, and it was the best.
