Allie + Mitch // A Sun Soaked Wedding at Indian Springs Metropark

you’re looking at the very first rain free wedding of my season so far! not only did it NOT rain, but the sun showed itself to us like it hadn’t in weeks. it covered every single one of us in it’s warm rays. the birds were out, the spirits were high, and love was buzzing everywhere. Allie + Mitch hosted a perfectly relaxed wedding at one of my favorite venues (Indian Springs Metropark) and we were spoiled by an amazing sunset, some very old and beautiful cars, and a grandfather with a smile that i won’t soon forget…

Paula + Sean // An Intimate Wedding in Downtown Ann Arbor

This wedding has all of my most favorite components…

A tiny guest list of 20 people, an intimate dinner, and the bride’s 12 year old daughter. Most often, weddings don’t include the children of the couple because they haven’t been made yet, but every once in awhile, my dreams come true and I get to witness one of these very sacred unions.

Paula + Sean hosted the most relaxed and lovely little wedding with just their families. They all walked from the Graduate Hotel to Ann Arbor’s Chop House. Everyone took the rain in stride, and we managed to dodge the big storms they called for all day. They spoiled each guest with tastes of Ann Arbor’s finest treats, a quiet ceremony, and wrapped it up with a divine dinner and tiramisu cake. Everyone was wined and dined, and I still can’t believe I was lucky enough to be the one to hang with them….

lauren + alex // down by the river

It’s no secret that all of the couples I work with are amazingly unique, interesting, and total weirdos just like me, and so I’m not sure why these two caught me so off guard the way they did. As soon as they pulled up and started walking towards me, I felt blown away by their energy. I found my own personal guards instantly going down, and a wave of comfort washing over me.

They are the quiet hilarious type, and they love their dogs a lot. I don’t need to tell you that they like each other too, because you’re about to see it with your own eyes.

a day at the beach with aimee + drew

It’s not everyday you get the opportunity to do an engagement session at an art installation, but today was that day, and even the sun showed up for us, too. My husband and I took our kiddos to this a couple weeks before this day, and Aimee + Drew immediately came to mind because I just had a feeling that they would show up for this, and I wasn’t wrong—you’ll see…
